About Blair Thomas


Blair Thomas is puppeteer and director/designer who has been working out of Chicago since 1985. He co-founded Redmoon Theater in 1989 and Blair Thomas & Company in 2002 and has been teaching puppetry at the School of the Art Institute since 1990.  Twice he has received the international UNIMA awards for excellence in the art of puppetry and twice awarded the Illinois Arts Council Fellowship awards.  He was the first artist to fill the Jim Henson Artist-in-Residence position at the University of Maryland.  He is a graduate of Oberlin College and is currently working on an adaption of Moby-Dick.
