About David O’Donnell

David likes clown and all things that are irreverently real. A former puppeteer, director and actor who now has trouble not leaping onto stage when watching theater, David works as an ethnographer at gravityank, a Chicago based innovation consulting firm that helps companies and foundations figure out what they want to do next. In addition to his work with corporate clients at gravitytank David runs the social innovation domain there – a team of designers and strategists looking to use the tools of design thinking to solve chronic social and environmental dilemmas. ┬áDavid has a masters degree in urban planning and worked as a Deputy Commissioner for the City of Chicago where he developed public private sustainability partnerships for Chicago and its business community. He is a longtime fan of watching the sweat fly at 500 Clown shows.
