About Jeremy Sher


Jeremy got his start in improv but quickly developed a passion for devising. He then developed a parallel interest in movement and the use of body as storytelling vehicle, and has since focused on creating and performing physical works for the stage. In Chicago he’s performed with Redmoon, Writers Theatre, the Neo-Futurists (at home & at The Goodman Theatre), Next Theatre and others. Regionally he’s worked at St. Louis Rep, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Shakespeare D.C., New Victory Theater (NYC) and others. Overseas he’s worked in Spain, France and has toured venues in the Canadian Fringe Circuit. He’s studied or trained with SITI Company, Sankai Juku (Butoh), Brigitte Dumez Dance (Paris), workshops at Ecole Jacques Lecoq, with members of Complicite and others. He has also taught Movement, Suzuki, Viewpoints and Improv at several universities around the country. He now lives in Missoula, Montana
