About Jessica Hudson
After graduating from the University of Evansville with a BFA in theatre performance, Jessica Hudson made her way to Chicago. Since moving to the windy city, she has performed and created work between dance and theatre. Jessica’s solo work blends vocabularies of dance, theatre, historical research, puppetry, object construction and physical theatre. However, she is most happy in collaboration with others, both on the stage and in the classroom. Jessica has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some Chicago gems, including Mucca Pazza, opera-matic, DoubleDJ, About Face Theatre, the Laboratory for the Development of Substitute Materials and 500Clown. Jessica is a teaching artist with CAPE, Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. In 2010, she won the 3Arts artist award as a teaching artist in theatre.
