About Melanie Esplin
Melanie is originally from New Zealand and was selected as one of the country’s 25 Young Achievers of 1999. She holds a BA in Theatre and a Masters in Music from Roosevelt University as well as an LTCL teaching degree in music from Trinity College, London. Melanie has spent the past decade working in non-profit arenas as an actress, musician, and administrator. She previously served as Managing Director at HealthWorks Theatre of Chicago facilitating education outreach, in the subscriptions department of Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, and as General Manager of Next Theatre in Evanston. Melanie also served as the Midwest Regional Coordinator for Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Susan Lori-Parks’ International 365 Days/365 Plays project in 2006, Business Manager at About Face Theatre Collective, and Executive Director of Striding Lion Performance Group.
