About Tom Arvetis

Tom is a writer/director/performer whose work investigates the themes of identity, family and community.  In 2004, he founded Adventure Stage Chicago under the umbrella of the Northwestern Settlement Association, a social service organization serving Chicago’s West Town community for over 120 years.  This award-winning professional theatre for young audiences tells heroic stories about young people and the adults in their lives.  He is an adjunct lecturer at Northwestern University and his play Walk Two Moons is published by Dramatic Publishing.  In 2013, he received the Orlin Corey Award for Artistic Excellence from the American Alliance for Theatre and Education.  Collaborating with 500 Clown on Trapped was a dream come true.  Special thanks to Adrian who made it possible and to Tim, Leah, Paola, Clare, Lee, Rebecca and Leslie who made it so much fun.
